What We Recruit
Financial Control, Reporting & Accounting Recruitment
Roles spanning financial control, statutory and management reporting, technical accounting, consolidation and the core accounting function.
Roles We Recruit
Understanding The Brief
Financial control and reporting roles sit where technical accuracy, governance and commercial usefulness meet. The best candidates do far more than close the month and prepare statements. They own the integrity of the numbers, manage audit relationships, navigate complex structures, improve controls and help boards and non-finance stakeholders understand what the results actually mean. We know the difference between a hands-on Financial Controller, a technical reporting specialist and a genuine successor to senior finance leadership, and we recruit accordingly.
Market Perspective
What's actually happening in this market.
Offshoring, shared services and automation have reshaped this function faster than most. Transactional work is increasingly centralised or automated, while fewer entry-level accounting roles are creating a longer-term pipeline challenge for the profession. At the mid-to-senior level, however, demand for strong control and reporting talent remains intense.
Employers are looking for accountants who pair genuine AASB and IFRS depth with modern ERP capability, stronger data confidence and the communication skills to explain complex issues without diluting the detail. Sustainability and broader non-financial reporting are also adding new demands to already stretched teams. In SMEs, the remit is usually broad and hands-on. In larger enterprises, the work becomes more specialised across consolidation, statutory reporting, technical accounting and group control, shaped by scale and regulatory scrutiny.
What We Assess
What good looks like at this level.

End-to-end ownership
Takes accountability for month-end, audit and reporting, including the points where the cycle currently breaks down.
Controls that scale
Builds processes and controls that support growth instead of relying on repeated firefighting.
Stakeholder credibility
Manages auditors, boards and operational leaders with confidence while protecting technical rigour.
